Terms of use

By using the Wavelength app (« the service »), published by GreenDroid Company, you accept these terms.

1. The service

Wavelength is a compatibility-based dating app: a daily selection of profiles, messaging, photos revealed gradually. The rules (number of profiles suggested, number of first messages per day, photo reveal conditions…) are described in the app and may change to improve the service.

2. Who can sign up

  • Adults only (18 or over).
  • One person per account and one account per person.
  • With truthful information: your real first name or a nickname, your real date of birth, photos of yourself.

3. Rules of conduct

In particular, it is forbidden to:

  • harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against anyone;
  • send unsolicited sexual, violent or illegal content;
  • ask for money, advertise or solicit commercially;
  • impersonate someone else or use someone else's photos;
  • share another user's photos or messages outside the app;
  • bypass the rules of the service (multiple accounts, automation…).

4. Reporting and moderation

Every profile is reviewed by the publisher before it becomes visible. Your main photo must show your face (close up or full length); your bio must be sincere and reasonably complete, and your icebreaker (optional) appropriate. A profile that does not follow these rules is not published: you are told why and can fix it. A change of photo or text may be reviewed in the same way.

Every profile and conversation can be reported or blocked. We review reports and may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, without notice in serious cases. We do not read private conversations, except messages attached to a report.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of your photos and texts. You allow us to store them and show them to other users within the service, according to its rules, and only for as long as you are signed up.

6. Price and subscription

Signing up is free and includes 3 free conversations. A conversation counts once it starts, that is when the other person replies to the first message, whether or not you wrote first. A request left unanswered, declined or expired does not count.

Beyond that, writing to someone or replying to a message requires a monthly subscription, at the price shown in the app before purchase. Without a subscription, you keep access to your profile and your daily selection, and you can see who wrote to you; the content of received messages is for subscribers only.

Payment is made through Google Play. The subscription renews automatically every month; you can cancel it anytime in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions), and access stays open until the end of the paid month. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own rules. Deleting your account does not stop the subscription: remember to cancel it in Google Play.

Free conversations are not restored by deleting and recreating an account.

7. Stay safe when meeting

We do not verify users' identity. For a first meeting, choose a public place, tell someone close to you, do not share financial information and never send money to someone you met online.

8. Liability

We do our best for the service to work properly, but cannot guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors. We are not responsible for how users behave towards each other, online or when meeting, nor for the information they publish.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app (see Delete my account).

10. Personal data

How it is processed is described in the privacy policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, please contact us first at greendroid_contact@yahoo.com to find an amicable solution. Failing that, French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
